- End of Year Outing

The last outing for 2011 will be held on Sunday 27th November at Castle Hume Golf Club. Cost of the outing will be £25 which includes green fees and a meal in the clubhouse afterwards. Check with Tootsie for the tee-time.

- Lakeland Extra

The society are holding an extra outing this Sunday Oct 16th at Castle Hume. All those attending are asked to be at the venue for a 10.30 am start. It is hoped that there will be another great attendance at what could be the last outing of the year as the days are getting shorter.

Well done to Tootsie for organising the outings this year. It has been a very successful year which has seen the return of a number of golfers whose membership had lapsed and also some new blood added to the list.

Good luck to all in attendance on Sunday and we hope you will all be back for the opening event of 2012.

- Sean's Captains Day

Our Captain Sean Curran has booked his captain's day for Sunday 28th August at Castle Hume Golf Club and he would like to invite all members to compete for his special prize. He would also like to see some older members come to compete at this venue. It has been a good year for returning members with some of them featuring in the winners circle. So the invitation is out there - if you feel you are at a loose end that Sunday then why not come along - you are guaranteed an enjoyable day.
Tee-time for the competition is 10.00am - but you should be there at least 30 minutes before this time to arrange playing groups.

- Curran victorious on Return

Liam Curran conquered all at Castlecoole on Sunday after a number of years in exile. It was great to see Liam come back to the society along with Stevie and Doc and new members Colm (Denis) McManus and Seamus (Beavis) McManus. Things are starting to look up for the society. Lets hope they stay on and attract some others.
Mark McAdam was delighted to hand over the reins to Martin McCaffrey. Tooley claimed the shield for low score and will be looking to pass it on at the next outing.
Cormac McAdam took the high category prize while Leo Herbert claimed the low category section. Prizes were sponsored by the Oak Barrell where most of the competitors returned and swarmed around the pool table where Isaac kept score on a game of killers. Nobody knows who won, least of all Isaac.
Next outing to be arranged.
