Lisnaskea Golf society was formed in 1994 by a group of local golfers to organise golf outings with a competetive edge.
The society hold events on a monthly basis.
At the AGM on Friday night a new committee was elected: Captain for the season is Brendan Fitzpatrick, treasurer is Rory Curran and secretary is Colin Little. Congratulations to those who attended and best wishes to the new committee who will be carry the society through this,the twenty second year of it's existence.
One of the first decisions made on the night was to reintroduce the annual membership fee of £25 to be paid as soon as possible. Each member will receive a free T-shirt. After the second outing anyone who hasn't paid their membership will be asked to pay £5 over the green fees for the day.
Throughout the year a league table will be set up for the Golfer of the Year prize.
Also on the night it was decided to organise a weekend away. This will take place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June at Carrick-on-ShannonGolf Club. After golf on Saturday there is a meal booked at Castle Dragan and accommodation in Carrick-on-Shannon B&B. The cost of this weekend will be €150 and is only open to fully paid up members. There is also a limited number of places available on the outing and anyone who wishes to attend should pay their membership and €50 deposit into Rory at the Oak Barrell.
